Client

Our client is a major container shipping company. The position will be based in Bremerhaven, Germany.

Tasks

• Actively drive special cargo volume, revenue and yield for the Asian area.
• Collaborate with key inter-functional stakeholders to drive optimal special cargo performance.
• Participate in seeking & developing new special cargo opportunities.
• Define regional special cargo strategy together with the rest of the Europe Special Cargo team and cascade down to commercial organisation in the area.
• Build plans to grow the special cargo segment by engaging customers and relevant exhibitions and market events to position the company as the supplier of choice.
• Go-to person for market expertise & cascade down (including market plans, competition, market shares, etc).
• Steer the ocean customer portfolio towards maximizing special cargo opportunities across the entire supply chain.
• Optimize and transform current processes, procedures and the ability to service different markets and customers with a multi-brand strategy.

Requirements

• Self-starter and a driven individual with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-disciplined individual with high drive and sense of urgency, high learning agility and change mindset.
• Result-oriented, ability to set the priorities, solid planning skills, and able to work systematically.
• Strong research, analysis and assessment of information skill, proficient in communication of insights to key decision-makers.
• Comfortable and capable of exerting influence without authority.
• Problem solving mindset and great team player.
• Mature in using judgement is escalations and prioritizations.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
